sketch 3

Her name is Jessica, a three year old girl, and she came to Kimono Experience last year with her Chinese dad and Russian mom.She was a very naughty girl, reluctant to wear a kimono, and ran around the room with a toy sword. Only her parents wore beautiful kimonos and went to Shibamata, but Jessica wanted the shop's goods and cried so we came home early.
Her parents were in their forties, Jessica was cared for too much and never took a train. Papa was worried that she would be cold when she took her shoes off and walked down the temple corridor, but I took a picture of her looking at the garden.
I took pictures of kimonos of hundreds of guests there, but I felt her strong will in the back of Jessica wearing a thick food court without kimonos.

I don't know if anything in this temple garden will remain deep in her aesthetically-minded mind, but on the contrary, this back view of her left a strong impression on me.Before kimonos, tea ceremonies and Japanese culture, there is a more primitive connection between people regardless of age or country. If we do not make a right or wrong decision by ourselves, we cannot live in the future, so it is important that we have that value standard in ourselves.

We can't make a mistake anymore. If we do not go with a strong will, we will perish. Jessica's back is something of a revelation to me.
